Christopher Campbell

ATTORNEY

Chris Campbell is an associate with the firm and brings experience in all aspects of civil litigation. Chris also has extensive experience with administrative, criminal, and appellate matters.

Chris was raised in Montgomery County, Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C. He received his BA, MBA, and JD from the University of Maryland prior to relocating to Los Angeles, California, in early 2001 to take a job with the prominent Los Angeles law firm of Geragos & Geragos.

During Chris’s time with the Geragos firm, he worked on many of the firm’s high-profile cases at the time, including the Scott Peterson capital murder case and the Michael Jackson child molestation matter. In 2015, he again teamed up with the Geragos firm and worked on matters involving recording artist Kesha and a California state senator who was being federally prosecuted on criminal charges.

On the civil side, Chris has obtained multiple million-dollar-plus verdicts and judgments in matters ranging from partnership disputes to personal injury, including a $4.8 million jury verdict against Barron Nicholas Hilton, younger brother of Paris Hilton.

In his appellate practice, Chris has obtained published opinions in both the California Court of Appeal and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Chris has also represented 1960s recording star Leonard Borisoff, professionally known as Len Barry, in a case that was taken up for review by the California Supreme Court following Chris’s successful reversal in the Court of Appeal.

Chris has served in leadership capacities with several legal organizations, including the Long Beach Bar Association, where he served as the 97th President in 2014 and as a Board Member from 2008 to 2015. He also served as Membership Chair of the Joseph A. Ball/Clarence S. Hunt American Inn of Court from 2013 to 2014 and was a member from 2006 to 2017. Additionally, Chris served as a Board Member of the Long Beach Bar Foundation from 2013 to 2015.

He has also been a proud participant in the Long Beach Bar Association’s scholarship program for Long Beach students and the Association’s mentoring program at Cabrillo High School in Long Beach, including the Teen Court program designed to help at-risk youth avoid criminal activity.
