Ian A. King, II

Ian A. King, II earned his J.D. in 2017 from St. John’s University School of Law in Queens, New York and became a member of the New York State Bar in November of 2018. While in law school, Ian was the Managing Editor of the New York Real Property Law Journal, where he reviewed and finalized law students’ submissions before publication. He also co-authored an article on the newly passed “Abandoned Property Neighborhood Relief Act of 2016", which explained the duty of the mortgagee or its loan servicing agent to maintain property secured by a delinquent mortgage. His article was published in the New York Real Property Law Journal, the official publication of the New York State Bar Association’s Real Property Law Section. In 2017, whilst in law school, he was editor of the Residential Real Estate Law, Continuing Legal Education course material for practitioners who wanted to stay current on New York real estate laws and trends. As an attorney in New York, Ian’s practice focused on plaintiff’s side personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and construction site accidents.

Ian was admitted to the State Bar of California in January of 2021, and joined Sellar Hazard & Lucia in June of 2021 where he practices Real Estate law and construction defect litigation, building on his years of experience.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Ian is a PADI-Certified Rescue SCUBA diver. He loves to go hiking, swimming, ice-skating, and sailing. He’s sailed from Anguilla to St. Lucia, and has competed in the Heineken Regatta, held yearly off the coast of St. Martin.
