Mohammed Samarra’e

Joining the firm in 2025, Mohammed Samarra’e is an associate at Sellar Hazard & Lucia. His practice focuses primarily on complex civil litigation and construction defect litigation.

A 2023 cum laude graduate of Tulane Law School, Mohammed gained experience completing internships with local pro-bono organizations and a quasi-governmental utility company. Born in 1994 in Baghdad, Iraq, Mohammed has traveled around the world extensively prior to settling in California. He has lived in Jordan, Kenya, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Indiana. He obtained a B.A. in Political Science from the
University of New Orleans in 2017. Mohammed has strong ties to the city of New Orleans, having graduated high school, university, and law school in the city. As a new associate at the firm, Mohammed is eager to gain more experience and prepared to zealously represent our clients. In his free time, Mohammed enjoys walking around Lake Merritt, watching his favorite team, Arsenal, playing video games, and grilling; he
is always prepared to try new things!
